okay, so my most awaited day since Sept 11, 2009 has arrived!
yes! alhamdulillah. after a month and 20 days, finally the results are out.!
remember the ESSAY Writing Contest from WAMY? Yes!
so, this morning, i prepared myself to go to Mamitua Saber Research Center
still here in MSU. I was so excited at the same time nervous. This pessimist
side of me keeps on telling me that, "nah, ur not one of the winners"
but still, my feet brought me in front of the said building and Tonic was also heading my way. anyway, we stayed for long moments outside the bldg. because we're shy entering in there with all these eyes at us. i don't really like being the center of attraction. it's annoying, really.
then the guy from the 2nd category also arrived. thank god, we're not alone.
by then, a girl came out and asked us if we're scholars too. (that's because there's certain gathering of WAMY scholars) and we said no. we told her we're participants for the WAMY E-Writing Contests.
and so they led us inside, served us sandwiches and soda. and later on. thay announced the winners. yippeyo! Tonic is the 1st placer for the second category. Congrats, Tonic! they read her
striking statement from her essay..
next they called on to my name as the 2nd placer and yehey!! they also read my
striking statement as they've said. so here it goes:
"For our parents are the ones who suffered in taking good care of us when we are still inside our mother’s womb until we are born in this world. They raised us into what we are today, they provided us what we need and most of all, they have given us all the love in this world."
after that, the lunch is served and after praying, we started to eat.
as announced, we are supposed to leave after we ate except for the scholars cause they have meeting or something. so, we left after getting Fahad's and Ate Lappang's certificate. we Headed to rhatSuo's and had our snack there (hawaiian burger and cookies 'n cream! mi paborito!)
anyway, after our snack, we said goodbye to each other (that was after we went to SJ) and then we're off to our own houses.
*actually I'm still happy even though i didn't get the 1st place. it's still amazing that out of many participants, i ranked number two. and not to mention, it's my first tym to join such contest. I am really happy to the highest level! xD i soo love this day!
